The Flannel Fox

The Flannel Fox was founded in 2020 by Mark and Melyssa Bauer. Combining our love for the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where our story begins, and retail business savvy to bring an urban Northwoods shop to the Wauwatosa Village was our dream. With combined retail and fashion experience of over 30 years, opening our store in a community that we call home was of high importance. We believe in carrying high quality products across all price points and featuring local artisans from the area and the upper midwest. Inspired by the tranquility and adventure of up north our shop will help you transform your space and style into your own cozy den. In our time away from The Flannel Fox we enjoy spending time with our two dogs - Sadie and Rosie, taking day trips and relaxing at the family house up north.

Each item we carry is carefully selected from local artisans, brands that believe in the quality of their items, and distinctive decor you won’t find in the area.
